in-house brand refresh / art direction / Packaging / digital
Brew Tea Company.
After a successful 5-ish years with their launch branding, Brew Tea Co needed a bit of a refocus. Whilst working in-house, Halah refreshed the brand by featuring provenance, a sense of heritage, and a modern-meets-classic approach to design. Bespoke illustrations and jazzier product photos all work together to give Brew their spark back.

The modern British tea experience. Redefined.
Halah worked with founders Phil and Aideen to refine what ‘Modern British Tea’ means to them, and how they wanted Brew Tea Co to grow. This included accessible copy with a focus on the drinker, to take the snobbery out of tea, and strike a balance between the serious and the down-to-earth playful.
Bringing flavour
to the box.
Thanks to a happy accident, the boxes underwent a serious change – instead of using imperial measures as a key call-out, Halah brought flavour to the front. Literally. As well as helping the tea sound irresistibly slurpable, it helps the less-experienced tea drinkers make an informed buying decision.
Origin information, tasting notes and food pairing suggestions were added to set Brew Tea Co apart and appeal to discerning foodie. Blend-specific ingredient illustrations, corresponding index cards and rewritten copy round the whole thing off.
This approach was rolled out across a whole range of packaging, including new gift bundles and collectible tea tins.
Things To Do Whilst You Brew.
This modern spin on traditional tea cards started as a way to emphasise the importance of brewing times by giving drinkers mini activities and educational snippets to enjoy while their tea brews. TTDWYB is now on series 3 in print, with a digital version on Instagram Stories to keep drinkers company during Lockdown 1.0.
Halah designed, illustrated and wrote the content for series 2, 3, and TTDWYB {In Isolation}. Ask her anything about knots!
